When It Doesn’t Count

1. When your years of wisdom are less than your number of fingers and toes
2. When you don’t give permission, or sometimes when you do
3. When you say no, or sometimes fight for yes

It’ll probably be hard to discern when it does count if you grow up fighting yourself and others, or confusing permission with love. I don’t know when it does count – I only know love is part of an equation.
