Dancing Nectar

Dancing Nectar

she accomplishes a stillness
instantly isolated by an
old-fashioned morning song and dance

humming to different wonders
my hands become like
axes to a forest tree

pulling stems
that existed
as her nectar
before my greed

we each take from
the moment
a shared sorrow

a momentary dance

that skating on soil
made
sweetly unrepentant
