The time is
Here
My heart is open
So I’ve begun reading
Liking
Following
Pondering

Then thought
About church
And how I’d
Shake the priests
Hand or gave him
A hug
While exiting mass

Even then I
Wondered
“Does he actually
Feel everyone’s
Joys and sorrows?”

If he did, how did
He cope?

If he didn’t, how did
He cope?

I see no
Distinction
Between a priest
And a congregation

Or readers
And writers

I seem always to wonder
How everyone copes
With joys and sorrows
