accepting tide(s)

accepting tide(s)

two partially filled tide bottles sat outside my door
to anyone else a strange gift this christmas eve
to me, a fitting conclusion to a decisive end
it was their way to say thanks before
leaving

before picking it up i took a picture
the detergent had been placed near the water
where gifts of purity are assured to be emptied of
claustrophobic irony bubbling with ribbons of
arrival
