tell me (atmosphere)

tell me (atmosphere)

tell me it’s okay to
— wish i was back in the womb
of some other cartoon character

tell me it’s okay to
— fill my brain with slander and
ruin as if the woes of man are like
god’s silence

filling my tub with answers
— without rest

tell me it’s okay to
— die and find rebirth in the
blinding shine of a diamond

hiding in the pocket of
— lingering promise

tell me it’s okay to
— be me
and still feel alive

even as mist between us
— disperses to extinction

tell me it’s okay to
— bring this nudity to
your lips

affirming the folds
— that night wraps
around the lofty arm

of this alternative
ecstacy
