“sure. you know how we all have areas in life where we feel not to have any control?” i asked.
“yeah, of course,” he replied.
“when that happens most of us tend to hyper-focus on things we do feel in control of, so some of these folks we’re working with will be focused on the wrong things and it will probably frustrate you, but knowing that going in can be an advantage. it can be a trigger for us to focus in on everything else except what they’re pointing toward, cause often when people come to us for help, it’s not for the stuff they can see, it’s for the stuff they can’t,” i explained.
