a dream

a dream

distance can’t exist as
cause for restraint

fragments of poetry
can’t fully explain

inner storms crisis
and weathering pain

thought
struck by man’s ability to bring us to our knees in both passion and lament; that for all our nervous exhaustion choice remains to sleep, that but for crosses carried in genuflection, blind devotion might hurt the eyes of those seeking recompense for the weight bearing afflictions unearthed in the nothingness of future. we aren’t the first to feel all is a dream, nor the last to wake up.
